Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Efficient and Clean Utilization of Manganese Resources

     The “Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Efficient and Clean Utilization of Manganese Resources” was officially approved to be established by the China Hunan Provincial Science & Technology Department in August 2016. It relies on the research resources of Chemical Engineering and Technology disciplines of Central South University. The laboratory is currently composed of five departments, including offices, Department of Manganese Resource Chemical Research, Department of Manganese Environmental Chemistry Research, Department of New Manganese-Bearing Materials Research and Department of Analysis. The director is Professor Zhong Hong.

Ⅰ. Group Members

      At present, the laboratory is home for 34 permanent researchers, including 32 with senior titles and 2 with intermediate titles.

Ⅲ. Research Achievements

     The key laboratory has undertaken more than 20 provincial and ministerial-level projects such as the National Science and Technology Support Program, the National 863 Program, the National Natural Science Foundation, the Major Science and Technology Project of Hunan Province. It has won 1 second prize of national technological invention and 3 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards. More than 20 academic papers have been published in SCI source journals, and more than 10 invention patents have been obtained, every year.

IV. Opening & Sharing

Key Laboratory encourages researchers engaged in related research to conduct scientific research exchanges and cooperation in the form of visiting scholars and postdoctors, opening research projects will be set up to support related scientific research.

  The Chemical Composition Analysis Center under the Key Laboratory has passed the China Metrology Accreditation of Hunan Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision

  Provide technical services such as analysis and testing of environment, non-ferrous metal resources and chemical products, etc.
